About You
As a graphic design intern, you'll be an important part of the Marketing team, working on a range of digital and print projects, such as social media graphics, web graphics, branding, and print marketing materials. The ideal person for this position loves collaborating with others to share ideas and feedback, enjoys ideating, is organized, and has high attention to detail. You are passionate about delivering amazing work that both delights and achieves strategic goals.
Key Responsabilities
- Support Regional Marketing Initiatives:
In this role, you will contribute to our regional marketing efforts. Your responsibilities will include participating in brainstorming sessions with the headquarters marketing team, attending periodic meetings, providing quotes from regional suppliers, and ensuring the inventory of marketing materials is up-to-date. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in requesting timely restocking of these materials to maintain an effective marketing strategy.
Manage our Regional Social Media Accounts.
Collaborate with the marketing team to execute campaigns in a timely manner.
Design materials such as marketing collateral, social media ads and graphics, reels, GIFs, branded items, print materials, and more.
Assist with video production (shooting, editing).
Edit images for use on social media and website.
Adhere to brand standards and guidelines.
Maintain and archive files and perform regular job file backup.
- Attending Weekly Meetings with Managers and Coordinators:
Actively engaging in our weekly or biweekly meetings with both managers and coordinators. These meetings serve as a vital platform for fostering open communication, enhancing collaboration, and ensuring that all team members are aligned with our overarching goals and strategic initiatives. Your presence and contributions in these meetings are essential to our collective success and the smooth operation of our organization.
- Continuous Learning and Adaptability:
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, product knowledge, and online graphic design techniques. selling techniques.
Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to contribute to the team's success.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of MasayaCo's furniture collections, materials, and customization options to provide informed recommendations to customers. Attend Onboarding sessions as scheduled and inform if you need reinforcement on any topic.
- Follow-up on the Visual Merchandising Plan:
Ensure that store displays maintain their visual allure in line with the defined MasayaCo brand aesthetic as outlined in the Merchandising plan. Additionally, provide input on store layout and the performance of product assortments, making adjustments as needed to align with regional market demands.
Participate in the creation and upkeep of captivating product displays on the sales floor. This involves arranging products according to merchandising guidelines and refreshing displays to showcase promotions and new arrivals effectively.
- Operational Support:
Store Opening and Closing: Responsible for opening the store in the morning, which includes turning on lights, unlocking doors, and ensuring all equipment is functional. In the evening, perform closing duties such as securing the store, turning off lights, and setting the security system.
Basic Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness on the sales floor throughout the day. Tasks may include dusting, sweeping, mopping, and ensuring product displays are free from debris.
Deep cleaning: Organize weekly store cleaning with an external service. Ensure that quality standards are met. Coordinate payment with accounts staff.
Organization of the Storage Room: Keep the storage room organized and efficient by arranging inventory neatly, labeling shelves, and ensuring that products are easily accessible. Conduct periodic inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
Coordination of Utility Payments: Coordinate the payment of electric bills and basic services with the headquarters' accounting department. Ensure timely and accurate processing of these payments to avoid any disruptions to store operations.
- Team Collaboration:
Collaborate seamlessly with team members and management to foster a harmonious and efficient work environment. Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate openness to enhancing existing systems and procedures, contributing to continuous improvement in this role.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, or similar area of study or enrolled in a related degree program.
- Proficiency in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of video editing software.
- Writing and proofing skills are also required.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames.
